Klipsch RF10 (ea) Dual 4.5-inch Reference Floorstanding Loudspeaker Feature
- Dual 4.5-inch woofers
- Copper-colored Cerametallic cones
The Reference Series RF-10 home theater system sets a benchmark for value in high-performance loudspeakers. This entry-level setup includes the smallest floorstander Klipsch has ever made, but still pushes the same advanced technology and visual sophistication as its respective predecessors. Consisting of a pair of RF-10 floorstanding speakers, an RC-10 center channel, a pair of RS-10 surround speakers and an RW-8 subwoofer, this recommended home theater system allows more people the opportunity to enjoy the ultimate sound experience in their homes.
The small RF-10 floorstanding speaker uses the same advanced technologies as Klipsch's larger Reference III floorstanders to deliver powerful sound with high sensitivity. It employs dual 4.5-inch woofers and a 1-inch titanium-dome compression driver loaded with a 5-inch square Tractrix horn.
The RC-10 center channel speaker is a great choice for any high-performance home theater system. It employs dual 4-inch woofers and a 1-inch titanium-dome compression driver loaded with a 4-inch square Tractrix horn for maximum clarity and efficiency. It features Klipsch's version of 2.5-way crossover technology, called tapered-array. With tapered-array, the two Cerametallic woofers work together to deliver high impact bass with one driver transitioning out at the mid-range frequencies. This provides more consistent coverage across the listening field, less tonal error and improved dialogue intelligibility.
The RS-10 surround speaker delivers precise sonic detail through the careful positioning of two Tractrix horns loaded titanium-dome tweeters and one 4-inch woofer. By aligning the two horns at 90 degrees with respect to each other, along with the front-firing woofer, the RS-10 smoothly covers a 180-degree horizontal arc, allowing maximum placement flexibility.
The compact RW-8 powered subwoofer delivers strong, clean bass from a decidedly small-footprint enclosure. And because both the driver and the port are at the front of the cabinet, the RW-8 can be placed back against a wall, deep into a corner, or even in custom cabinetry. The 8-inch woofer is powered by a high-efficiency amplifier, capable of 270 watts dynamic power output.
As the smallest floorstanding loudspeaker in Klipsch's award-winning Reference Series line, the RF-10 delivers high-performance Reference sound at a lower price point. Despite its entry-level status, this loudspeaker utilizes the same advanced technologies and world-class materials used in the larger Reference III floorstanders. The RF-10 employs dual 4.5-inch woofers and a 1-inch titanium-dome compression driver loaded with a 5-inch square Tractrix(R) Horn. The woofers on the RF-10 still feature Klipsch's distinctive, copper-colored Cerametallic(TM) cones. Made with an anodized aluminum, these cones are strong and dent resistant. The anodizing process converts their inner and outer surfaces to ceramic. The outcome is a rigid cone with superb damping characteristics that will not flex or resonate at frequencies within the woofer's operating range. As in all Reference Series speakers, the RF-10 crossover network is constructed using extremely high-quality components including top-of-the-line internal wiring, polyester film-type capacitors and an air-core inductor to ensure signal purity and proper driver integration. Available in a black vinyl finish, the RF-10 features a low-diffraction sculpted baffle and magnetically attached grille for an elegant fit and finish. With the introduction of this small, yet powerful, floorstanding loudspeaker, Klipsch is allowing more people the opportunity to enjoy a piece of the Ultimate Sound Experience(tm) in their homes.
