The OMD-15 is a slender 2.5-way tower speaker featuring an elaborate cabinet style and Mirage`s latest generation of OMNIPOLAR technology (patent number #6,996,243) . As part of the OM Design series, it shares many of the OMD-28 flagship model`s sonic characteristics. The OMD-15 cabinet is internally divided into two sections. The top section features a 1-inch PTH tweeter and a 5.5-inch Poly Titanium deposit hybrid woofer with Mirage's patented Ribbed Elliptical Surround mounted in Mirage`s exclusive OMNIGUIDE array. The top section also incorporates a passive radiator for greater bass extension. The bottom section of the cabinet features a 5.5-inch woofer in a down-ported enclosure. This ingenious design allows the OMD-15 to generate exceptionally low frequency reproduction considering the very small footprint of the cabinet.
